Shankar's 'Endhiran, the Robot', has created yet another record. For the film, art director Sabu Cyril has created a set costing about Rs 5 crore and this is considered to be the costliest set ever in the history of Tamil cinema.
The set has been made by using eco-friendly aluminium composite panel and can be recycled. At this set, a stunning fight sequence involving Rajnikanth and 100 robots was shot, it is reported.
The film, produced by Sun Pictures, is one of the costliest Asian films ever. The science fiction film has Aishwarya Rai playing the female lead. Rajnikanth plays a double role in the movie: As a scientist and as a robot he creates. AR Rahman scores the tunes for this futuristic film.
